About PHIL NIX WINDOW & SCREEN CO
Phil Nix Window & Screen Co is based in Hollywood, Florida, and handles window and screen repair and installation. Its work also includes some glass replacement and sliding glass door repair. These services may be relevant when a window, screen, or sliding door needs attention, whether the issue involves damage, operation, or a planned installation. The available service details do not specify window types, materials, or the range of glass replacement work, so describe the project when asking whether it is a fit. The business information notes a team of six employees and says costs are determined by the job, with no travel charges. It also mentions free estimates. For a useful estimate, be ready to explain what needs repair or installation, where it is located, and what you have observed. Ask which work is included and how the estimate accounts for materials and the scope of the job. The service area includes Hollywood and other nearby South Florida communities; confirm coverage for the project address.

Screen repair and installation
Screen repair and installation are available for window and screen work. Describe whether the screen is damaged, missing, or part of a new installation.
Some glass replacement
Some glass replacement is offered. The specific glass types and replacement situations are not detailed, so provide project information to clarify whether the work fits.
Sliding glass door repair
Sliding glass door repair is available. Explain the door's problem and the condition you have noticed when asking about service.
Describe the issue before choosing a service
Start with the part of the opening that needs attention: the window, screen, glass, or sliding door. Note what has changed, such as visible damage or difficulty using it. A short description and clear photos can help explain the request, but avoid assuming that a repair is possible until the specific condition has been assessed.
Make an estimate easier to compare
For a project estimate, gather useful details such as the number of affected openings, approximate measurements, and whether the work is repair or installation. Ask what the estimate covers, including labor, materials, and any conditions that could change the scope. The business information says pricing is determined by the job and mentions free estimates; confirm the details for your own project.
Match the request to the work needed
A damaged screen may call for screen repair or installation, while a window that will not function properly may need window repair. Glass replacement is available only for some cases, and sliding glass door repair is a separate service. Explain the symptoms and ask which service best fits rather than assuming that every component or type of damage is covered.
