International Glass and Mirror, Inc

Plan the project around how the glass will be used

Start by identifying the purpose of the glass: a shower enclosure, storefront, office partition, window, railing, mirror or vehicle application. The use helps frame the relevant options, such as sliding versus swinging shower doors or flat, laminated and tempered glass. For an opening or existing unit, record approximate width and height and take note of frames, tracks, handles or other hardware. These are useful preparation steps, not a substitute for confirming measurements and product suitability with the provider.

Compare door choices by opening and traffic

For a shower or tub, consider whether the surrounding space allows a door to swing outward or whether a sliding arrangement better fits the room. For a commercial entrance, think about how people enter and move through the space, and whether an automatic door is relevant. Photos of the opening and notes about its dimensions can help make the initial project discussion more specific. The commercial door range includes impact and non-impact doors, storefronts and automatic doors.

Bring context for specialized glass applications

Insulated glass is available for home and business windows, boats and ships, and commercial refrigeration. For these projects, explain the setting and the purpose of the unit, and note any visible label or existing dimensions if available. For auto glass or heavy equipment, identify the vehicle or equipment type and the affected glass area. Clear context helps distinguish among the different applications offered without assuming that one product suits every opening.
