AT A GLANCE

About Glass by Design

Glass by Design is a Fort Lauderdale glass business focused on custom shower doors and enclosures. Its offerings include frameless enclosures in heavy glass, framed options in heavy or regular glass, and custom shower-door configurations. The business also handles custom glass for cabinets, textured clear and stained-glass inserts, and tabletops. Its shower-door work includes design and installation, with options such as in-line, right-angle, neo-angle, bypass, and mirrored doors. For a shower project, the choice of door style and glass should follow the opening and the way people use the bathroom. A clear description of the layout, approximate measurements, and preferred appearance can help make an initial conversation more focused. For non-shower projects, identifying where the glass will go and whether it is decorative or functional is a useful starting point.

Custom shower enclosures

Custom bathroom enclosures are offered in frameless heavy glass and framed options using heavy or regular glass. Layouts include in-line, right-angle, neo-angle, and bypass styles.

Shower door design and installation

Shower-door design and installation are offered for custom frameless doors and other enclosure types. The opening’s shape and available space can help guide the choice of configuration.

Mirrored doors

Mirrored doors are included among the residential glass offerings.

Custom glass pieces and inserts

Custom glass offerings include cabinet glass, textured clear glass, stained-glass inserts, and tabletops.

Plan around the shower opening

Before discussing a shower enclosure, note the opening’s approximate width and height, the location of nearby walls or fixtures, and the direction you would like the door to open or slide. A quick sketch can clarify whether the space is straight, angled, or configured around a corner. These are useful preparation steps, not a substitute for measurements or project guidance from the provider.

Compare door styles by use

Frameless and framed enclosures are both offered, as are several layouts. Think about how much room is available for a swinging door, whether a bypass style may suit the opening, and which parts of the enclosure you want to emphasize. Bringing reference images can help communicate a preferred appearance, while the opening’s shape helps narrow the layout choices.

Prepare details for custom glass

For cabinet glass, inserts, or tabletops, note the intended location, approximate size, and purpose of the piece. For decorative inserts, it may help to describe whether you are considering textured clear glass or stained glass. Keeping these details together makes it easier to explain what you are looking for when asking about a custom item.
