Roller shades
Roller shades are one of the window-covering options offered by AJJ Blinds. Consider the room’s light needs and how you want the shade to operate when comparing choices.
Blackout coverings
Blackout coverings are among the product options. They may be relevant when reducing incoming light is an important consideration for a room.
Manual and motorized blinds
AJJ Blinds offers blinds in manual and motorized styles. The motorized option is available with remote control.
Plan around the room
Before comparing window coverings, note which windows you are addressing and what you want each covering to do. For example, consider whether limiting incoming light is important, whether the covering will be used often, and whether you prefer a manual or remote-controlled operation. These considerations can help narrow the choices among roller shades, blackout coverings, and blinds.
Prepare for a product conversation
Make a list of the windows you want to address and bring any questions about how each option operates. If you are comparing manual and motorized blinds, identify which windows you would like to control by hand and which you might prefer to operate with a remote. For blackout coverings, consider the room’s purpose and your preferred level of light reduction.
Compare choices before deciding
A useful comparison focuses on function as well as appearance. Consider how a roller shade, blackout covering, or blind would fit the room’s light needs and daily use. For multiple rooms, make a separate note of the priorities for each one rather than assuming that the same product type will suit every window.
