About 727 Solar
727 Solar is a Clearwater, Florida solar provider led by Mike Shelton. The service is new solar panel systems. Shelton’s background includes residential development, construction and rehabilitation, legal consulting, and financial advisement, which informs the business’s focus on helping homeowners consider solar from several practical angles. The guidance emphasizes comparing warranty coverage and understanding financing terms, including how financing may affect a home’s appraisal value or a future sale. Roof age is another important consideration when weighing project timing. The goal is to help homeowners make an informed decision about a solar system, rather than treating installation as a one-size-fits-all choice.
Business description
Thank you so much for your interest in 727 Solar! As a consultant, I operate differently. Solar is not as simple as most would have you believe. For example, most of the information available will lead you to believe that a 25-Yr Manufacturers' Warranty with limited coverage, is the standard. In reality, the best warranty out there offers 30-Yrs of Full Coverage (ALL PARTS & ALL LABOR). If you're considering financing your solar array, NO MONEY DOWN is great! However, it's vitally important you understand how that financing will likely affect both your appraisal value, as well as your ability to sell your home down the road. It's actually quite easy to set yourself up for failure. Unfortunately, most solar salespeople have no understanding of exactly how this happens. I have 20+ years of experience in Residential Development, Construction, and Rehab. I also spent 10 years in the legal field consulting attorneys on all parts of their practices. In addition, I enjoyed many years of success in Financial Advisement. Unique in the industry, my background allows me to help my clients approach solar from just about any direction. Want to know why I have perfect ratings??? I operate my business on one very simple idea… The goal of each and every interaction with my clients is to earn the right to ask for referrals. I'm simply a guide, here to help you make an informed decision. I don't need you to buy anything. What I do need, is for you to speak well of me... whether you purchase or not. My Best, Mike Shelton Owner, 727 Solar (813) 494-8765 *mobile*

New solar panel systems
727 Solar’s service is new solar panel systems. Project considerations include warranty coverage, financing terms, home resale plans, and roof age.
Prepare for a solar decision
As a planning step, gather recent electricity bills, note any expected changes in household energy use, and make a list of questions about system size and expected production. These details can help structure a discussion, but they do not by themselves determine whether solar is a suitable choice for a particular home.
Compare warranty terms
Look beyond the headline number of years. Compare what the warranty covers, whether labor is included, which parts are excluded, and what steps are required to request service. Ask for the complete written terms so you can compare systems on the same basis.
Include financing and roof plans
Before choosing a payment arrangement, read the agreement for payment responsibilities and terms that may matter if you sell or refinance the home. Separately, consider the roof’s condition and likely replacement timing. These are useful planning questions for any homeowner evaluating a solar project, not a statement about a particular provider process.
Common customer requests
Plan a new solar panel system
Explore a new solar panel system and compare the warranty coverage being offered.
Understand solar financing
Review solar financing questions alongside possible effects on home value and future resale.
Assess roof timing
Consider roof age and replacement timing as part of deciding whether a solar project makes sense now.
Check whether a project fits
Ask whether a proposed project is a new solar panel system, rather than pool heating, water heating, or repair work on another provider’s installation.

Services and specialties: New solar panel systems with the industry's only 30-year all-inclusive warranty.
Services not offered: We do not do these things: -Solar water heater systems -Roof-top solar pool heating systems -Repairs to systems installed by other companies -Removal and/or re-installation of systems purchased from other providers *This service becomes necessary when a solar company fails to advise their customer that their roof either needs to be replaced before the solar is installed, or they will likely incur this additional expense, out of pocket, at some date down the road. Unfortunately, this practice is often intentional on the part of the salesperson. In reality, it may not be the best time to go solar. Taking the age of the roof into account is a very important part of what must be considered in order to make an informed decision. The good news, you can include a roof replacement as a part of your solar project and get additional tax credits which equate to discounts on your roof replacement. If you include your roof in a financed project, you're also getting that roof no-money-down :)

Questions about 727 Solar
What should I compare when reviewing a solar system warranty?
Compare the coverage period, which components and labor are included, and any exclusions or service requirements. Having the complete terms available makes it easier to understand what the warranty does and does not cover before choosing a system.
Why should I consider financing before adding solar panels?
It can affect a home sale because the financing agreement may create obligations that need to be addressed during the transaction. Review the agreement early and ask how payoff, transfer, or other terms apply to your plans; the details depend on the financing arrangement.
Does my roof’s age matter when planning solar panels?
Yes. Roof age can affect whether it makes sense to install panels now or plan roof work first. Consider the roof’s condition and likely replacement timing so you can weigh the overall project before committing.
Does 727 Solar install solar pool heaters or solar water heaters?
No. The services exclude rooftop solar pool heating and solar water heater systems. The supported offering is new solar panel systems, so clarify the project type before proceeding.
Can 727 Solar repair a system installed by another company?
No. Repairs to systems installed by other companies are available for outside the service offering. If you are considering a new system instead, describe the project and ask whether it fits the new-panel service.
