Prepare a clear project scope
Before discussing a plumbing job, note what is being remodeled or installed, which fixtures or components are involved, and whether the work is part of new construction. For leak concerns, record where signs of a leak appear and when they are noticed. These details are useful preparation, not a requirement for the business.
If you are supplying materials
The owner installs materials purchased by the customer, a designer, or a general contractor. As general preparation, keep product information together and make a list of the items intended for the project so their planned use can be discussed.
Match the request to the work
The plumbing scope includes several specific installations and replacements, as well as leak detection and repair. Gutters and siding are also named as services, though no further details about those categories are available here. If choosing among them, describe the particular work you have in mind rather than assuming a specific scope.
