Plan the visual idea
Start by deciding what the painting should do in the space: create a focal point, carry a theme, add color, or display a logo or lettering. Collect a few reference images or describe the mood and subject you have in mind. For a business, note any brand colors or visual elements that should be considered.
Choose a service for the surface
A mural can suit a larger wall or outdoor area, while hand-painted lettering or a logo may be a better fit when the message or brand mark is central. Decorative painting is another option for rooms, floors, patios, and other residential spaces. Before choosing, identify the surface and how people will see or use it.
Prepare a clear project brief
A practical brief can include the project location, the room or surface, approximate dimensions, the intended subject or wording, and any reference images. For a commercial space, describe the setting, such as a restaurant, office, medical office, or coworking space, and where the artwork is meant to be viewed. These details can help make a design conversation more focused.
