Plan the scope before choosing a finish
For a painting project, make a room-by-room or surface-by-surface list before comparing options. Note whether the work involves walls, ceilings, doors, trim, exterior areas, or more than one part of the property. For interior work, record any visible damage or places where textures do not match; the services include drywall repair and texture matching. These notes can help clarify what you want included when discussing the project. They are general planning suggestions, not a description of a required company process.
Ask what preparation the project needs
Preparation can affect how a finished paint surface looks and performs. As general project advice, ask what preparation is appropriate for the existing surface, whether repairs or priming should be considered, and how nearby areas will be protected. For exterior painting, point out areas where the surface condition concerns you. For cabinet refinishing, explain the current finish and the result you want.
Match the service to the property and surfaces
Some projects call for more than repainting walls. Consider whether your project is mainly a paint refresh or whether it includes a separate surface or finishing need. For a business or shared property, identify the areas involved and whether the project includes common spaces; commercial and HOA painting are available for service types. Describing the surfaces and intended outcome helps make the conversation more specific.
