Planning a shower glass project
Start by deciding what you want to change: a new shower door, a replacement for an existing component, or maintenance for installed glass. As general preparation, note the approximate opening dimensions and any nearby fixtures or features that affect access. Photos of the current enclosure can also help explain the project when discussing it. These are useful ways to prepare, not a statement about the provider’s installation process.
Choosing the right glass work
Match the request to the intended use and location. The project types include shower doors, glass stairs, panels and railings, office glass, mirror walls, and tabletops. For a stair or railing project, describe where the glass will be placed and the surrounding structure. For mirrors or tabletops, note the surface and approximate dimensions. Clear details can help distinguish a new installation from a replacement or removal request.
Preparing for maintenance or replacement
For an existing shower enclosure, identify the part that needs attention, such as an accessory or damaged plastic, and say whether the glass itself also needs maintenance. If removal is part of the project, mention that when describing the work. As general preparation, keep the area around the glass accessible and avoid handling damaged pieces.
