About Austen Air Conditioning
Austen Air Conditioning provides residential and commercial HVAC work, including air-conditioning service, repairs, and installation. Its work also includes commercial ventilation, specialty refrigeration, computer-room air conditioning, and service agreements. The company describes residential work as handled in-house, while specialty subcontractors may be used for certain commercial projects. This range can be relevant to homeowners, businesses, and facilities with different heating, cooling, or ventilation needs. For residential systems, services include installation and replacement, repair and troubleshooting, indoor air-quality work, ventilation upgrades, and smart thermostat integration. Commercial offerings include HVAC system design and installation, repairs, ventilation, and energy-related upgrades. The appropriate service depends on the equipment, the issue, and the space; when requesting help, sharing those details can make it easier to identify whether the need is a repair, installation, or a different type of HVAC project.

Prepare for a repair or installation conversation
Before requesting HVAC work, write down the system type, the problem or project goal, and the rooms or areas involved. For a repair, note when the issue occurs and any changes you have noticed, such as uneven cooling or unusual system behavior. For installation or replacement, consider the space to be served and any constraints that may affect the project. These are general preparation suggestions, not a description of Austen Air Conditioning’s specific intake process.
Match the request to the type of system
Start by identifying whether the need is residential or commercial, then distinguish an existing-system repair from a new installation or a maintenance request. Commercial ventilation, specialty refrigeration, and computer-room air conditioning are separate service categories, so name the equipment or space involved rather than describing the request only as general cooling. For indoor air-quality concerns, note whether the main interest is filtration, UV lights, or ventilation.
Clarify the scope before comparing options
For a project involving more than one type of work, make a short list of the requested tasks, such as repair plus ventilation changes or installation plus a service agreement. Austen Air Conditioning offers both residential and commercial work and notes that specialty subcontractors may be used on some commercial projects. As general planning advice, ask which portions of a proposed project are included and which trades or systems are involved, then compare proposals on the same scope.

Questions about Austen Air Conditioning
Does Austen Air Conditioning handle residential AC repairs?
Yes. Residential air-conditioning repair is among the services. When describing the issue, note what the system is doing, when the problem began, and whether any parts of the home are affected; these details can help clarify the type of troubleshooting needed.
What commercial HVAC work is available?
Commercial air-conditioning installation and repair are available, along with HVAC system design and installation. For an initial discussion, it can be useful to identify the type of property, the area to be served, and whether the project concerns new equipment or an existing system.
Can I ask about a commercial ventilation project?
Commercial ventilation is available for a service. Before discussing a project, consider which rooms or work areas need ventilation and whether the request involves an existing system or a planned upgrade, so the scope is clear.
Can I inquire about an HVAC service agreement?
Service agreements are available for HVAC work. When comparing an agreement with a one-time repair, consider the equipment it would cover, the maintenance tasks included, and how the terms address future service needs.
What indoor air-quality options are available for homes?
Indoor air-quality solutions, filters, UV lights, and ventilation upgrades are available for residential HVAC. Think about the rooms or concern you want to address and whether you are asking about filtration, ventilation, or another indoor air-quality option.
Common industry questions
What does HVAC mean?
HVAC stands for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. These systems manage indoor temperature and air movement.
What is a heat pump?
A heat pump moves heat between locations. Depending on the system, it can provide both heating and cooling.
How do repair and maintenance differ?
Repair addresses an existing problem. Maintenance is periodic care intended to keep equipment operating effectively. The tasks included depend on the service agreement.
