Compare flooring options by project needs

Start by identifying the rooms involved and the type of flooring under consideration. For hardwood, compare pre-finished and unfinished options; laminate and floating hardwood are also offered. Product specifications and installation requirements can vary, so review the details of the material you are considering before deciding.

Prepare for an installation conversation

A helpful project outline includes the areas to be covered, the flooring material, and whether you are looking for material sales with installation or installation only. As general preparation, note existing flooring conditions and any removal or subfloor concerns you have. These details can help define the work to discuss.

Consider refinishing before replacing hardwood

If a space already has hardwood, refinishing is an available service to consider. Before deciding, record which areas have existing wood flooring and where wear or damage is visible. The flooring condition and the desired result are useful points to discuss when weighing refinishing against a different flooring project.
