Plan a furniture or antique project
Before seeking furniture customization or restoration, consider what you want to keep, what you hope to change, and how the piece will be used. Photos from more than one angle can make its condition easier to explain. If the item has sentimental or antique value, note any areas that should remain untouched.
Think through cabinet updates
Start by identifying the cabinets involved and the result you want, such as a changed appearance or refreshed existing surfaces. Refacing, refinishing, and cabinetry painting are distinct options. A general project discussion is more useful when you can describe the cabinet condition, the areas to be updated, and your preferred look.
Describe a painting or custom project
For painting, note the item or surface and the color or finish you are considering. For custom carpentry or design work, outline the intended use and approximate dimensions, and bring reference pictures if you have them. These are preparation suggestions, not a description of a required shop process.
