About Artistic Refinishing, Inc
Artistic Refinishing, Inc. Is a Boca Raton surface refinishing company focused on restoring existing kitchen and bathroom surfaces. Its work includes bathtubs, showers, wall tile, countertops, cabinets, vanities, and appliances. The company began in Boca Raton in 1994 and is family-owned. The refinishing approach uses a sprayed-on coating over suitable existing surfaces. Solid colors are available, along with granite-like finishes, and the company’s service information notes that gloss and satin finishes are options. Refinishing can be a lower-cost alternative to replacement, though the right choice depends on the surface condition and the result a homeowner wants. Before proceeding, homeowners can identify the surfaces they want to update and describe any damage. Severe water damage to cabinets and attempts to make Formica look like wood are noted as unsuitable for this refinishing approach. Cracks, rust, and many holes may be addressed before refinishing, depending on the material and condition.

Bathtub refinishing
Refresh an existing bathtub with a sprayed-on finish. Cracks, rust, and many holes may be addressed before refinishing, depending on the surface condition.
Shower refinishing
Refinish an existing shower surface as an alternative to removing and replacing it. Consider the condition of the shower and the finish you want when assessing whether this option fits.
Tile refinishing
Restore the look of existing wall tile with a sprayed-on coating. Solid-color and granite-like finish options are noted.
Countertop refinishing
Update existing kitchen or bathroom countertops without treating replacement as the only option. The refinishing system offers color choices and granite-like finishes.
Cabinet refinishing
Apply a new finish to existing cabinets. This approach is not suitable for severely water-damaged cabinets and does not make Formica look like wood.
Vanity refinishing
Refresh an existing bathroom vanity with a sprayed-on coating. A solid finish can be considered as part of a broader bathroom surface update.
Appliance refinishing
Refinishing is also offered for appliance surfaces. Suitability depends on the specific appliance and the condition of its existing finish.
Prepare for a refinishing project
As a general planning step, note which surfaces you want to keep and which ones need attention. Photograph chips, rust, cracks, worn areas, or water damage, and record the surface material when you know it. For cabinets, check whether damage appears limited to the finish or has affected the cabinet itself. This information can help clarify whether refinishing is a reasonable option; it does not replace an assessment of the actual surface.
Choose a finish that fits the surface
Think about the appearance you want before comparing refinishing with replacement. The finishes include solid colors and granite-like options, with gloss and satin finishes also noted. Consider how the chosen look will work across nearby surfaces, such as a vanity and countertop or a tub and wall tile. The process does not create a wood appearance on Formica, and severely water-damaged cabinets are excluded.
Compare refinishing with replacement
As general advice, compare the condition of the existing fixture with the cost and disruption of replacing it. Refinishing is intended to renew a surface already in place and may be more economical than replacement, but it will not resolve every kind of underlying damage. Make a short list of what matters most, such as retaining the existing fixture, changing its color, or addressing visible wear, and use that list to compare the available options.

Questions about Artistic Refinishing, Inc
Which surfaces can be refinished?
The refinishing work covers bathtubs, showers, tile, countertops, cabinets, vanities, and appliances. The available information describes refinishing existing surfaces rather than replacing them.
What kinds of finishes are available?
The finish is sprayed on and can be made in different colors.
Can water-damaged cabinets be refinished?
Severely water-damaged cabinets are not suitable for this refinishing method. If the damage is less extensive, describe its location and condition when asking about cabinet refinishing so the project can be assessed.
Can refinishing make Formica cabinets look like wood?
This process cannot make a Formica cabinet look like wood. A solid-color finish may be an option instead, so consider whether that appearance suits the kitchen before choosing refinishing.
Can damaged areas be repaired before refinishing?
Cracks, rust, and most holes can be addressed before refinishing. The surface material and extent of the damage matter, so include clear details about the affected area when asking about a tub, tile, countertop, or appliance.
Does the coverage include my area?
Coverage includes Boca Raton and communities such as Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, and West Palm Beach. Check the specific ZIP code for your property, since the coverage is given by community and ZIP code.
